2012-2018 : Jugurtha

Jugurtha is the name of a Numidian king who opposed the Roman dictatorship a little over 2000 years ago. He is a complex and very colorful character.

It is to the measure of this name that the duo of the group Jugurtha begins their ambitious project of wrapping oriental music with a sacred linen of electronic music.

Jugurtha doesn't just remix and literally creates a new soundscape around that of their buried voices and instruments, converging recordings, traditional instruments and modern techniques. By associating with solid musicians with different backgrounds, for the realization of a live at the height of the concept, on stage we will be able to see and hear between the machines and the drums, a santur, tablas, a ravan, a darbouka, a Ney and a magic guitar.
